A crash is causing long delays on the A12 Londonbound.
The crash took place between junction 24 at Kelvedon and junction 22 at Witham at around 7.30am today.
Traffic is queuing back as far as Eight Ash Green, at junction 26.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
Update 8.25:
The first accident has been cleared to the side of the road, however a three vehicle crash near Kelvedon is causing further delays.
Drivers are still facing long queues back as far as Colchester.
UPDATE 9.05am:
The second accident has been cleared from the carriageway and delays are beginning to ease.
Traffic is still slow in patches back as far as Marks Tey, junction 25.
