NEW figures have revealed Maldon District Council has spent £350,008 maintaining its playgrounds over the past ten years.
A Freedom of Information request submitted by a member of the public shows the 13 council-owned play areas in the district have cost the six-figure sum since 2009.
Costs have risen steadily, from £31,716 in 2009/10 to £54,083 in 2017/18.
