A CHELMSFORD charity that helps children get their lives on track has received a grant of £95,000.

Global’s Make Some Noise announced on Thursday huge grants to thirty-one small charities and projects across the UK.

Global’s Make Some Noise helps small charities and projects dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged youngsters living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.

Live on Heart Essex on Thursday it was revealed Kids Inspire would receive £95,000, £70k more than they were expecting.

Kids Inspire helps disadvantaged young people turn their lives around and gives them back their future.

The charity supports young people across Essex who are at an educational, social and/or economic disadvantage resulting from trauma or emerging mental health issues.

Many young people are referred to Kids Inspire because other support agencies consider them “too complex” to help.

Sue Bell, CEO & Founder of Kids Inspire said: “A huge, huge thanks from all of us at the Kids Inspire Community. We were stunned, shocked and so incredibly grateful for the grant raised by Global’s Make Some Noise and the listeners of Heart Essex.

“Ninety-five thousand pounds was so much more than we could have expected and really will go such a long way in the work that we do with children’s emotional wellbeing and mental health locally.”
