Witnesses to an assault near a bar are being urged to come forward with information.
Detectives in Chelmsford are appealing anyone who witnessed the incident outside Walkabout in Chelmsford.
Two people were assaulted at around 9.25pm on Saturday, February 23.
One man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a broken jaw. He was described as being white and around 5ft 8ins tall. He had very short blonde hair, so he almost looked bald, and wore a black fleece.
Another man involved in the incident, also aged in his 20s, wore a sling on one arm. He did not require hospital treatment.
