A TALENTED and award-winning musician will be bringing Jonathan Larson’s hit rock musical ‘Rent School Edition’ to Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford.
The inspiring musical from Young Gen tells the story of a group of friends and young artists struggling to survive and create a life in the East Village of New York City during the mid 1990s.
It’s all about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. The Show Director, Jeremy Tustin, said: "I'm delighted to be directing this production of ‘Rent’ for Young Gen, as it has always been on his to-do list after seeing the original production in the West End all those years ago.
"It is a great challenge for the kids, but I’m sure you will see from the show that they have surpassed themselves and excelled."
Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent School Edition has some phenomenal songs that rock, plus the unforgettable ‘Seasons of Love’.
It is directed by Jeremy Tustin with Musical Direction from Bryan Cass.
It will come to the theatre on Monday April 29 for a special preview night costing £10, Tuesday April 30, Wednesday May 1, Thursday May 2, all costing £16.50.
Matinee and evening performances on May 2 and 3 will cost £17.50
