Man handed community order for beating up a woman
A man has been handed a community order after admitting assaulting a woman.
James Connors, 50, of Clarence Road, Grays, appeared at Basildon Magistrates Court on February 28 where he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman.
The incident happened the previous day at a location in Grays when Connors assaulted the woman, who will remain anonymous.
Magistrates made Connors subject to a 12-month community order which requries him to participate in rehabilitation requirements for 10 days.
He must also pay £50 in comopensation which will be paid from his benefits.
