ROCK legends, Status Quo, will be headlining a rock festival in Chelmsford.

Let's Rock - The Retro Festival, will be relocating from Hainault Forest Country Park to Hylands Park, Chelmsford, which famously hosted V Festival for over 20 years.

Let’s Rock Essex will take place on Saturday, September 7, and feature sets from Jimmy Somerville, Tony Hadley, Midge Ure, Go West, Nick Heyward, Nik Kershaw, Heaven 17 and many more.

Nick Billinghurst and Matt Smith, Let’s Rock organisers, said: “We always listen to feedback from Let’s Rock festival goers and are constantly trying to improve their experience.

"We’re really excited to be able to have the very first Let’s Rock Essex at Hylands Park, which has such a great history of hosting festivals and is really easy to get to and from.”

The festival offers something different, with lots of festival-goers embracing the throwback vibe and dressing in 80s clothes.

It is also suitable for the whole family, with entertainment for children including a Kids’ Kingdom, an interactive circus, face painting, inflatables and more.

Children under the age of 12 go free.

Last year Let’s Rock celebrated its 10th birthday with sold-out crowds at all locations.

VIP tickets are also available and include access to the Club Tropicana and Tiki enclosure. Tickets include fast track entry, luxury loos, meal and welcome drink, and exclusive celebrity DJ sets.
