A POP star was spreading the love this Valentines Day by surprising unsuspecting women and presenting them with flowers and gifts.

Essex-based singer Olly Murs visited shops and hospitals for the surprised.

He filmed the shock reaction and shared videos on his Twitter account.

One of the lucky women was Helen, a worker at Sainsbury’s in Springfield just outside of Chelmsford.

Olly went to meet Helen at the superstore in Whitehart Lane and gave her huge bunch or flowers and a box of chocolates.

A video shared on the pop star’s Twitter feed showed that he was chased by a fan keen for a selfie before entering the superstore in Springfield.

He then entered the shop and headed to the rear of the store where the Argos store is located to try to find Helen.

The Witham-born singer found Helen in the stock room and he presented her with the gifts, before also treating her with a kiss on the cheek.

The very excited worker was clearly left shocked by the special visit by the heartthrob singer.

Despite being shocked, she just about managed to tell Olly about the many times she had tried to meet him.

After blowing her another kiss, Olly left the stock room and left the store.

In the video, Olly said: “She didn’t have any idea.”

Olly Murs’ first surprise of the day was for Clare, who works at the Thomas Cook store in Brentwood High Street.

He then surprised a teacher at Great Waltham Primary School in Chelmsford called Emma.

While in Chelmsford, Olly also dropped in on nurse Ceri Adams at Chelmsford’s Broomfield Hospital to wish her a Happy Valentine’s Day and offer her flowers and chocolate too.

Before heading home, he also surprised a lucky lady called Jess at a BMW dealership and Amy at her home.
