A man has been left with serious head injuries after an attack at a leisure park.
Officers were contacted at around 4.15am today following reports of an incident at the Festival Leisure Park in Basildon.
During the incident a 23-year-old man suffered serious head injuries. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers would like to hear from anyone at the Festival Leisure Park at the time who may have witnessed the incident.

An 18-year-old man from Basildon has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
He remains in custody.
