FUNDRAISERS are set for a night of glitz and glamour in memory of an inspirational teenager.

The Tom Bowdidge Foundation will hold its sixth annual Feather Ball in March.

Tom died in October 2014 having fought an aggressive stomach cancer. He was 19.

During his illness, he raised an incredible £170,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

His proud parents, Richard and Nikki, have continued his good work setting up the foundation in his name.

The Feather Ball was launched in 2015, the day Tom would have been 21.

To date the ball has helped raise thousands of pounds for teenagers and young people with cancer.

Attendees will be treated to a three course meal before being given the chance to try their luck at the casino.

There will also be a silent auction before the night finishes off with dancing.

Tom’s mum Nikki, CEO of the foundation, said: “The Feather Ball is always the highlight of our year and we look forward to it enormously.

“It’s a night where we truly celebrate Tom and everything he achieved. Many of his friends come for the event while we welcome new faces every year.

“Last year’s ball blew everything out of the water when singing waiters surprised everybody during dinner and we know this year’s will be no different.

“Tickets are already selling fast so make sure you get yours quickly.”

In keeping with tradition, the theme to this year’s Feather Ball has not been revealed.

Previous years have enjoyed a Caribbean theme as well as James Bond and fire and ice.

Nikki added: “We love the look on people’s faces when they walk through the doors and see what madness we have in store for them.

“It is hard work but worth every second when you see people having the time of their lives on the dancefloor.

“We know this year will be our best yet.”

The Feather Ball will be held at Stoke by Nayland Golf and Country Club on March 2.

Tickets costing £65 each can be bought by emailing nikkibowdidge@tombowdidgefoundation.org. Tables of ten are available.
