The crowds were out in force to see Kate Middleton and Prince William arrive at the Basildon Sporting Village today.
The couple met those who had braved the chilly weather, before heading inside to see gymnastic displays, enjoy a game of tennis and also take part in boccia.
They also met the coaches at the sporting village and are now talking to private groups before they depart.
They are visiting Coach Core Essex to meet apprentices, graduates, and learn how more about the scheme, including those from Coach Core’s partner organisation Sport for Confidence.
The organisation focusses on helping those with mental health problems, physical and learning disabilities through around 30 sports and activities.
