A VET charity is set to launch its brand new mobile unit in Southend.
The charity PDSA's new £250,000 mobile unit, funded through donations from the People's Postcode Lottery is visiting the seaside town as part of its Petwise Tour.
Vet staff will be providing hands-on care for pets, offering expert advice, and advising on eligibility for PDSA services.
The mobile unit will provide free doggy health checks and advice for pet owners.
PDSA vet Olivia Anderson-Nathan, said: “Southend is one of the first places in the UK to benefit from our new vehicle, offering state-of-the-art facilities so we can help pets and their owners.
“Thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery we can bring some of our hospital services in to the community, offer free, friendly advice, chat through hospital services eligibility, and support owners to make small changes that often make big differences to the wellbeing of their pets.”
The unit will be appearing in Warrior Square carpark in Chichester Road from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday October 16 to Thursday October 18.
