A city shopping centre is now allowing its customers to park free from the beginning of this month.

Continuing with The Meadows in Chelmsford city centre's summer of rewards, the shopping centre will be offering two hours free parking to customers who spend in the centre

After shoppers have spent £10 or more in the centre, they will need to show their receipt to the customer service desk where they’ll be given a free parking voucher to be used on their next trip to The Meadows Q Park car park.

To use the discount, customers will need to pre book their parking on the Q-Park website and input the unique promo code found on the voucher.

The free parking offer, which launched yesterday, will be the second campaign unveiled by The Meadows this summer to offer customer rewards.

The "Treat Me" loyalty card launched on June 16 and gives customers the change to receive a free £10 dining voucher when they have collected nine stamps, a stamp is collected after a £10 spend.

Centre Manger Sue Patel explains “We want to give our customers the flexibility of being able to visit The Meadows without having to worry about parking costs.

"With the two hours of free parking, our customers can catch a film at Odeon, pick up something essential for the home, meet friends for a coffee catch up or even have a family meal at one of our many restaurants, knowing that the parking is on us.”
