The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning to people living in Essex.
A rain cloud is predicted to hit the county this afternoon and is likely to cause flooding in certain areas.
An amber flood warning has been issued for coastal towns and also settlements with rivers, including Clacton, Colchester, Maldon and Jaywick.
The Environment Agency has estimated that the water could rise as high as 2.75m above average sea level.
