Anglia Ruskin University has appointed a new director to drive forward its world-leading research.
Dr Michael Millan will head up the university's Research and Innovation Development Office (RIDO), which plays a key part in the university’s renowned innovation and partnership working.
Dr Millan was previously the Director of Research Operations at Massey University, New Zealand. Prior to this, he spent time at universities in Australia and also worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nine years.
He said: “I am extremely excited about this new role. Research and innovation is at the heart of everything Anglia Ruskin does and this was emphasised recently when it received a Lloyds Bank National Business Award for university entrepreneurship.
“I am looking forward to working with partners from local authorities, business and health services to help drive enterprise in our region.”
