YOUNGSTERS were jumping for joy as they got to try out a new trampoline club in Wickford.

Pupils from Abacus Primary School, in London Road, were the first school to visit the club and take part in two sessions.

Heidi Danniells, headteacher at the school, said: “We were delighted to be able to visit Ultima – what a fantastic facility for Wickford. The visit provided our children with a sporting activity which we couldn’t offer in our school. We will definitely be organising future visits for our children.

Debbie Fountain, the Ultima Trampoline Club coach, said: “They came in for a PE type session and all really enjoyed it. It was also a bit of a treat for them but they have now asked if they can maybe hold regular PE sessions here.

“We have been open for about four weeks and specialise in disability and pre-school sessions, toddler groups and also hold sessions and competitive trampolining. “
