About 800 brave runners have taken part in a testing 26.2mile course around the city today in the second Chelmsford Marathon.
The race kicked off this morning at 9am in the High Street, which was lined with cheering an waving supporters.
The runners got a massive cheer and shouts of encouragement and support from the crowds of spectators as they set off on their race.
The winner of the the race was Crispian Bloomfield, 39, of Billericay, with an amazing time of two hours and 37 minutes.
He was followed by Andrew Low and Michael Beaver, who crossed the line so close together they say they don't know who was second and who was third!
The first woman to cross the finish lin was Nikki Brockbank, with a brilliant time of two hours and 56 minutes.
