THE world’s most famous detective meets the world’s most dangerous woman in Sherlock Holmes – the Scandal of the Scarlet Woman, which comes to Chelmsford’s Civic Theatre later this month.
Following a highly successful UK tour of Sherlock Holmes – a Study in Fear in 2012, the Rumpus Theatre Company bring a twisting and seductive new thriller for audiences this autumn.
Based on the classic story A Scandal in Bohemia, by Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes – the Scandal of the Scarlet Woman, promises a tussle of Sleuth-like intensity, building to a thrilling climax that takes the protagonists, and the audience, entirely by surprise.
When engaged to protect the monarch of a minor European principality from the blackmail demands of the notorious society beauty, with whom the King has become foolishly involved, Sherlock Holmes little realises that he himself will get embroiled in her sinister web of seduction and deceit.
The showwill run on Thursday, October 16, and Friday, October 17, at 7.45pm.
Tickets are £16.50 and £15 for concessions. To book, call the box office on 01245 606505 or visit www.chelmsford.gov.uk/theatres
