POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a road accident in Chelmsford which left a cyclist in his 70s with serious head and shoulder injuries.
The collision happened at around 4.30pm on Wednesday, September 3 in Chelmer Road at the junction with Sandford Road. The cyclist was riding a Giant red bicycle. A red Fiat Panda was also involved in the collision.
The cyclist, who lives in the local area, was taken to Broomfield Hospital by ambulance, and has since been transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains in a stable condition.
