A MAN who died when his car burst into flames following a head-on collision has been named.
Terence Arthur Harrington, 67, from Chelmsford died at the scene of the crash in Essex Regiment Way.
His Chevrolet Corvette caught fire soon after crashing with a Vauxhall Astra at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
A family of four from Great Dunmow, travelling in the Astra, were left hospitalised by the incident.
A man and a woman, both aged 30, remain in hospital with serious injuries and an 18-month-old girl is also being treated on the paediatric ward.
A three-year-old girl, who was also in the car, was released into the care of her family on Tuesday.
An inquest into Mr Harrington's death is due to open on Tuesday, April 22.
