AN INSIGHT into how Essex prepared itself for the First World War will be the theme to a lecture in Chelmsford on Friday February 28.
Ian Hook from the Essex Regiment Museum will discuss 1914 and All That at the Cramphorn Theatre, in Fairfield Road, for this year's annual museum lecture.
The evening will look at how the county got ready for the war which started 100 years ago and how the fighting affected Essex.
Tickets for the evening which starts at 8pm cost £6 and can be booked by calling the theatre's box office on 01245 606505.
