HOUSEWIVES, Sherlock Holmes, a Michael Jackson tribute and a popular TV sitcom character are all coming to perform in Chelmsford.

The summer season line-up has been revealed by staff at the Chelmsford Civic and Cramphorn Theatres, both in Fairfield Road.

Acts who will be hitting the stages at each venue will perform comedy, plays, musical numbers and puppetry.

Fans of the much-loved show Only Fools and Horses will be in for a treat on June 19 when John Challis, who played Boycie in the sitcom, will be talking about life on the set.

Only Fools and Boycie will be at the Cramphorn Theatre and will also see John discussing his other acting roles including stints on Dr Who and Coronation Street.

A Michael Jackson tribute act will be moonwalking on the Civic’s stage on June 29 when Ben Bowman, regarded as one of the best in the UK, performs hits such as Thriller and Beat It.

Young acting and singing stars will be on display from July 18 to 20 when Little Waltham-based performing arts school Tomorrow’s Talent hold their own production of Miss Saigon, at the Civic.

Highlights in September include I’m A Celebrity winner Joe Pasquale starring in Ha Ha Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles.

The show written by Ben Langley is a parody on the classic detective story and features the comedian in the lead role when it comes to the Civic between September 3 to 7.
