A poilitcal group who want to put Brentwood's issues ahead of anything else has formed.
Brentwood First has launched with four ex-Conservative councillors, William Lloyd, Russell Quirk, Phil Baker and Nigel Clarke, forming the group who will sit in the council chamber.
Mr Lloyd, ward member for Warley, will lead the party with Shenfield councillor Mr Baker acting as deputy leader.
The quartet all resigned from the Tory group at the council in December over concerns over the leadership of the party along with worries about the state of projects in the town, such as William Hunter Way's development.
