(Festival Way, Basildon) (Borough of Basildon) (Parking and Waiting) Amendment No. 92 Order 201*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council
proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1),
2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and
Part III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To revoke the existing ‘No Waiting at
Any Time’ restrictions on the following length of Festival Way in the Borough of Basildon:
Road Description
Festival Way, Basildon
BOTH SIDES OF THE SOUTHBOUND
CARRIAGEWAY: from its junction at the
roundabout with Cranes Farm Road in a
northerly direction for a distance of
approximately 59.5 metres.
BOTH SIDES OF THE NORTHBOUND
CARRIAGEWAY: from its junction at the
roundabout with Cranes Farm Road in a
northerly direction for a distance of
approximately 44 metres.
Please note: current No Waiting At Any
Time restrictions start from a point
approximately 14 metres north of the
roundabout junction with Cranes Farm
Road, the revocation of this section of the
restriction is a paper exercise and will not
change on the ground.
Zig zag lines approaching the existing Toucan Crossing
will be introduced on the following length of Festival Way
in the Borough of Basildon:
BOTH SIDES OF THE SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY:
i. from the roundabout junction with Cranes Farm Road
in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately
16 metres.
ii. from approximately 24 metres north of the roundabout
junction with Cranes Farm Road (along the western
kerbline) in a northerly direction for a distance of
approximately 17.5 metres.
BOTH SIDES OF THE NORTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY:
i. from a point approximately 14 metres north of the
roundabout junction with Cranes Farm Road in a
northerly direction for a distance of approximately
17.5 metres.
ii. from a point approximately 40 metres north of the
roundabout junction with Cranes Farm Road (along the
western kerbline) in a northerly direction for a distance
of approximately 17.5 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County
Council (The Broadway, Borough of Basildon) (Parking
and Waiting) Consolidation Order 2008 by substituting tile
number TQ705 897 revision 2 to revision 3.

showing the proposal, a Statement of Reasons, a copy of
this notice and a copy of the Order to be varied may be

Order 201*
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council
proposes to make the above Order under Sections 84(1)
(a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph speed
limit on the following lengths of roads in the Borough of
Basildon (the roads are currently 30MPH by virtue of
street lighting):

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council
intends, not less than seven days from the date of this
notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of
Southend Road, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon,
from a point approximately 50m of its junction with Bridge
Road for a distance approximately 28m in a westerly
direction (10m either side of railway bridge). The closure
is scheduled to commence on 21st March 2018 for
2 nights, or where stated on a valid permit
(KL134WIS-30-10-210318 – Network Rail). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and
workforce while bridge examination works are undertaken
by Network Rail.
An alternative route is available via Southend Road,
London Road, Carpenters Arms Roundabout, Chelmsford
Road, Battlesbridge Bypass, Turnpike Link, Rettendon
Turnpike, Runwell Road, Golden Jubilee Way and
vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd March 2018 and
may continue in force for 18 months or until the works
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Oak Road, Ramsden Crays)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council
intends, not less than seven days from the date of this
notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of
Oak Road, Ramsden Crays in the Borough of Basildon,
from its junction with Jubilee Road for a distance of
approximately 80m in an easterly direction. The closure is
scheduled to commence on 19th March 2018 for 5 days,
or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000684829 –
Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these
works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed
on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while new gas
connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via Oak Avenue,
Southend Road, Hardings Elms Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd March 2018 and
may continue in force for 18 months or until the works
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
