(The Avenue, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council Intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Avenue in the District of Braintree from a point approximately 30 metres south of the junction with Coggeshall Road for a distance of approximately 25 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th December 2016 for four days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas works are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Woodfield Road, Mount Road, Coggeshall Road and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 19th December 2016 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Footpath 60, Rivenhall) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2016
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 1 June 2017. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length Footpath 60, in the Parish of Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Forest Road to its junction with Footpath 58.
Alternative route will be via: Forest Road, Rectory Lane and land behind Yew Close and vice versa.
The closure commenced on 1 June 2016 and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Re ballast works are undertaken due to poor track quality. Liz Burr, Head of Network Management, County Hall, Chelmsford Dated: 8th December 2016
