(Bulford Mill Lane, Crossing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bulford Mill
Lane, in the Parish of Cressing in the District of Braintree,
approximately 10 metres either side of the level crossing.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 6 December 2016 for one
day or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
track inspections and maintenance are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Bulford Mill Lane, Mill Lane, Witham
Road, Station Road, Witham Road, Bulford Lane and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be
maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 6 December 2016 and may
continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Station Road, White Notley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, in the Parish of White Notley in the District of Braintree from a point 20 metre either side of White Notley level crossing. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2016 for
1 night 23:30 to 05:30 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while track maintenance works are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Station Road, B1018, Braintree Road,
Chipping Hill, Flora Road, Station Road and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be
maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 7th December 2016 and may
continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
(B1053 Broad Road, A131 Broad Road, Braintree and A1017 Gosfield Road, High Garrett) (Restricted Road & 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 81, 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) and (2), and Parts III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To extend the existing 30MPH speed limit by virtue of street lighting on the following length of B1053 Broad Road, Braintree as specified (the road is currently 40MPH): Road Description
B1053 Broad From a point 120 metres north east of its junction Road, with Convent Lane north eastwards for a distance of
Braintree approximately 690 metres to a point approximately
5 metres south west from the common boundary of
No.136 and No. 134 Broad Road.
'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Braintree to Halstead) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2008' is hereby revoked. The restrictions contained within the aforementioned order shall continue in force by virtue of this order.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on
2 December 2016.
Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
