30 DAY RE-CONSULTATION - Further information received on 19 February 2021 in relation to an Environmental Statement which has already been provided; revised Parameter Plans, Design and Access Statement and Design Code also received. The primary revision Id the design of the proposed development comprises a reduction in height of the tallest elements of the proposed development Outline application (all matters reserved) for the part-demolition and redevelopment of the Eastgate Centre and neighbouring land to provide a mix of town centre uses, including the provision of up to 2,800 residential units (including build to rent, open market sale, student accommodation, later living and co-living (Class C3, C2 and sui generis uses)); consolidation and reconfiguration of existing retail and commercial floorspace (Class A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, D1, D2, sui generis and/or B1 uses); introduction of new retail and commercial floorspace (flexible within Class A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, D1, D2, sui generis and/or B1 uses); reconfiguration of car parking; new public realm, footpaths and walkways, landscaping, open spaces and other associated physical works. The application has the potential, in the opinion of the authority, to affect the setting of the Grade II listed Brooke House, 1-84 Town Square, Basildon; the Grade II listed raised pool and sculpture, Town Square, Basildon; the Grade II listed retaining walls, ramp, steps, staircases, bench and raised paving, East Square, Basildon; and the Scheduled Monument Moat at Basildon Hall, Basildon.
