Public consultation: Proposal to amalgamate St George's Infant and Junior Schools, Colchester

Essex County Council has commenced a public consultation on a proposal to amalgamate St George's Infant School and Nursery and St George's New Town Junior School, with effect from 1 January 2021. This replaces a previous consultation about amalgamating the schools which was paused in March 2020 due to Covid-19. The consultation document may be viewed at the following address:

Please contact Lauren Chown at St George's New Town Junior School (01206 506800) to book a 10-minute appointment, which will be held in line with social distancing rules. Two sessions will be held on 24 June 2020, at 2pm in the Infant School, Barrington Road, Colchester, CO2 7RW and at 6:30pm in the Junior School, Canterbury Road, Colchester, CO2 7RU.
