Application has been made by Danbury Wine Estate Ltd to the Licensing Authority of Chelmsford City Council for a Premises Licence for the winery building and surrounding garden at Hyde Lane, Danbury, Essex, CM3 4LN and at the Octagon pergola located within the vineyard. The premises will not be open to the public. Access is via invite only. The proposed licensable activities are: The supply and the sale by both wholesale and retail of alcohol for consumption both on and off the premises each day of the week between 09:00 and 01:00. Provision of late night refreshment each day of the week between 23:00 and 01:00. (Late night teas, coffees and food etc may be offered at the end of an event.) Provision of live music each day of the week between 10:00 and 00:00. (At rare special events live music may be played. Music will be both amplified at low levels and unamplified. For example, ambient background music for a tasting event.) Provision of recorded music each day of the week between 10:00 and 00:00. (Radio in work areas for employees and background music in the tasting room, landscaped garden and vineyards. Music will be amplified at low levels.) Any interested party or responsible authority may make representations on this application in writing to the Licensing Section, Chelmsford City Council, Civic Centre, Duke Street, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1JE or by emailing licensing@Chelmsford.gov.uk by no later than 25th August 2019.
