Pete Doherty is reportedly planning to check into a rehab facility in Thailand.

The former Libertines singer - whose film debut in Confession Of A Child Of The Century recently panned by critics at the Cannes Film Festival - is due to check into drug and alcohol rehab retreat The Cabin Chiang Mai, according to the Daily Mail.

Pete - the 33-year-old ex-boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss - has had recurring problems with drugs, alcohol and driving offences and has served time in prison.

The Cabin Chiang Mai was set up two years ago and apparently costs £7,700-a-month - around a third cheaper than The Priory. The centre combines Buddhism meditation and yoga with the 12 steps programme.

Previous celebrity clients are said to include Michael Barrymore and Gail Porter.
