CHELMSFORD City will travel to Colchester United in the quarter-finals of the Essex Senior Cup.

The Clarets, who lifted the cup in March at the home of The U’s following a 1-0 victory over East Thurrock United, now head back to the Weston Homes Community Stadium on or before January 13.

Their opponents in that final now entertain Concord Rangers, who claimed the trophy three seasons in a row from 2014 to 2016.

Chelmsford eased into the last eight of the competition on Tuesday, crushing Bowers & Pitsea 6-0 at the Len Salmon Stadium.
