CHELMSFORD City's inconsistent run continued as they failed to get the better of struggling Hungerford Town.
The Clarets were determined to return to winning ways in the National League South after their FA Trophy defeat in the week.
But Hungerford, who had lost each of their last six matches, were to get a late leveller to earn a share of the points in Essex.
Chelmsford took the lead in the sixth minute, Michael Spillane volleying home after Chris Dickson had hit the crossbar.
Numerous chances followed although the hosts were wasteful and Hungerford grew into the match towards the close.
The equaliser came on 86 minutes, Anton Rodgers tapping in at the far post after a deep cross found him.
The result leaves Chelmsford in sixth place.
