CHELMSFORD kickboxer Elijah Ajalah underlined his promise with a silver medal in his first fight.

The 21-year-old has less than six months experience under his belt but that did not stop him narrowly missing out on victory at the Rampage promotion in Kent on Sunday.

The novice fighter, who trains at PUMA Kickboxing in Chelmsford, lost out to Harry Knight from Kent-based TFMA.

“This was Elijah’s first time in the ring and his exciting style quickly gained the support of the crowd,” said PUMA lead instructor John Buckton.

“We are very proud of how far he has progressed in the last couple of months and we look forward to getting him into the next event.”
