CHEQUERS B, last season’s beaten finalists, were beaten 5-2 by Dog & Partridge in a cracking Ridley League Darts Cup quarter-final.
Cricketers underlined their new darts strength by blitzing near-neighbours Black Bull 7-0, with Ernie Holden fired a maximum 180 for the victors.
Chelmsford City A, who won the trophy last season as the Globe, beat Bird in Hand 6-0. Martin Compton, Harry Cove and Barry Devenish scored 140s, while Sue Cove had a 110 double-in start.
City B – with Steffan Devenish throwing a 180 - made the semi-finals with an unconvincing 4-3 win over Compasses.
FIXTURES (Mar 29) – CCFC B v Compasses, Chequers A v Chequers B, Cricketers v Dog & Partridge, Lt Waltham SC v CCFC A.
The women’s singles is at CCFC on April 19. Following the resignation from the league of Red Beret, the top half of the Dominoes Pairs draw will be replayed at the club the same night. CCFC A will play Compasses, with the winners facing Little Waltham SC.
