CHELMSFORD Chieftains booked their place in the final of the EHL Cup following a six-goal demolition of Wightlink Raiders on Sunday.
The two teams went into the second leg of their semi-final clash at the Riverside level following a 1-1 draw on the Isle of Wight on Saturday evening.
But any nerves among the home crowd were soon forgotten as a 6-0 second leg shut-out earned the Chieftains a 7-1 aggregate win.
Chelmsford will now face Streatham Redskins in the final next month after the south London team defeated Kent's Invicta Dynamos 6-3 on aggregate in the other semi-final.
The Chieftains are on the road this weekend as they head to Cardiff on Saturday before a top-of-the-table clash against Invicta on Sunday.
Chelmsford head into the away double knowing they could retain the NIHL Division One South championship trophy for a fourth successive season if results go their way.
