LITTLE Waltham SC went back top of the Ridley League, with leaders Dog & Partridge left kicking their heels as opponents Red Beret cried off.

Mark Chapman’s side prevailed 9-6 against Mill Green Cricketers. Waltham dominated the darts but a second successive dominoes defeat pegged them back.

CCFC A regained second place, though they had to dig deep to see off the Compasses, who shaded the singles. Debbie Jackson’s 105 in-shot also helped them take the women’s game, but City claimed both pairs, the mixed and the dominoes.

Mary Ann Kenna and May McGowan’s first women’s league win of the season helped Black Bull beat Chequers A 8-7 at Margaretting.

Although Chequers B were too strong for Bird in Hand, they were deprived of a 100 per cent darts record by skipper Wayne Goodwin’s shock defeat at the hands of Hazel Rolfe.
