OCs A moved into second place in the Division One of the Chelmsford & District Table Tennis League by beating Danbury B 9-1.

Leading veteran players John Monk and Terry Dowsett were both undefeated, while Neil Want got the better of John Cleasby in five ends for the loser’s sole win.

Danbury B in turn beat OCs B 6-4 – good going as none of their players were able to get the better of Kevin Worthington.

Galleywood A ran out 7-3 winners against Danbury C. Reuben Okai won his three singles in the deciding end.

OCs C had a fine 7-3 Division Two victory over second-placed Danbury D, with Peter Windley scoring a hat-trick, but were thrashed 9-1 by Chelmsford A.

Liberal stay top as they beat Galleywood B 6-4, while Rawreth & Hullbridge and Galleywood B drew 5-5.

Elmtree Excalibur put OCs D to the sword with a 10-0 Division Three win, while Danbury G stay top with 7-3 victories over Maldon C and OCs E, and Maldon B beat OCs E 6-4. Danbury K top the table in division four with Alan Dadswell getting hat-trick in their 6-4 win over OCs.

Galleywood C defeated Danbury H 7-3 and Elmtree Excalibur D ran out 7-3 winners against Hatfield Peverel D.

Maldon D impressed in division five as Clive Forster got a hat-trick in his first appearance of the season as they beat Danbury L 6-4. Maldon D also beat Elmtree Excalibur E 7-3 and Hatfield Peverel E saw off Chelmsford F 8-2.

Chelmsford J were 5-0 winners over OCs J in the CLICK League, while Chelmsford H defeated Buttsbury B 4-1.
