CHELMSFORD Chieftains head into their home clash with Cardiff NIHL Devils looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

Third-placed Chieftains had a winning double in Division One South last weekend with a 4-1 victory at league leaders Streatham Redskins before beating London Raiders 8-3 at the Riverside.

Cardiff are looking for their first league win of the season and the Chieftains switch their attentions to the NIHL on Sunday when they head to Invcita Dynamos.

Grant Bartlett gave Chelmsford the lead over Streatham. The Redskins equalised but a hat-trick from Ross Brears in the final period secured a win.

The Chieftains found themselves two goals down against old rivals London Raiders but levelled through Anthony Leone and Matt Turner before Brears gave the hosts 1 2-1 lead.

Hammond and Brears added powerplay goals in the second period before Raiders pulled a goal back.

But Lukas Zatopek and Jake Sylvester secured the 8-3 win and maximum points for the weekend.
