LOUIE O’Doherty took his record to four win out of four with a TKO victory over Henri Lewis.

The Centurions ABC boxer was given a standing count in the second round after Chelmsford ABC’s O’Doherty landed a fine combination.

And when O’Doherty went on the offensive again the referee had no option bit the stop the contest.

Next up for Chelmsford on the Felixstowe show card was Akib Baig, who faced Morgan Swann from Patrick’s Boxing Club.

Akib weathered an early attack and forced a standing count when he caught Swann with a left hook.

Swann got another standing count as his attacking tactics left him vulnerable to a left jab right hook combination.

Another powerful combination forced the ref to stop the contest and hand Baig his second win out of three fights.

The final Chelmsford boxer in action was Matt Saunders, who made it three wins out of four with a points verdict over Finchley ABC’s Jiyan Oguz.
Saunders’ footwork kept him out of reach of Oguz’s come-forward style and in the third round the Chelmsford boxer was able to pick his shots at will against the tiring Oguz.

Chelmsford ABC’s shows for next season are: Thursday, November 26 at Boreham House, Saturday, February 6 at Marconi Club and Friday, May 20 at Chelmsford City Football Club. Contact 07789 225501 for more information.
