FOUR Chelmsford boxers will be looking for success when they fight in Norfolk this weekend.

Jamie Hood has been out of action for over a year while Matt Saunders will be looking to keep his 100 per cent record at Attleborough.

Akib Baig will be trying to avenge his only loss and Louis 0’Doherty is also looking to keep his unbeaten record.

Trainers Dave Hull and Dave Hubble have been working hard since Chelmsford Amateur Boxing Club’s home show at The Marconi Club guiding the young boxers and teaching them new boxing moves, better techniques as well as building their stamina.

Matchmaker Graham Park said: “All our boys have tough matches and need to be on top form to win, they have been working hard in the gym and I expect them all to win despite the long journey.

“They have been well prepared by our trainers.”

It is exciting times at the club with phase two of the building refurbishment taking place after funding from the Essex Council via the Community Initiatives Fund.

The club will be showing off its second phase to the public on Sunday, April 26.

There will be a sparring/training day open to the public with all carded and un-carded Chelmsford boxers sparring with men and ladies from other clubs.
