Concord Rangers 2 Chelmsford City 1
By Adam May
SUBSTITUTE Taylor Miles' long-range strike was just enough for Concord to claim the three points in a hotly contested fixture at the Aspect Arena.
A scrappy first goal in which Clarets goalkeeper Tom Lovelock deflected in a Steve King drive got Concord off to a brilliant start within six minutes.
Skipper Mark Hughes was on hand to net his fourth goal of the season, turning in Leon Redwood's pinpoint corner just shy of the half hour mark.
Taylor Miles rose of the bench however to net from an audacious distance and, despite late efforts from Hughes, Joe Ward and top scorer Michael Cheek, the Clarets returned home with no points to show for their efforts.
