Three Chelmsford boxers travelled to Devon last weekend.

Summer Loan boxed Ali Ford from North Devon, but she could not get going and lost to a very strong girl.

Next was Josh Wheal, up against local lad James Ives, from Torrington.
Josh had a very slow first round, not doing enough.

The second round was much better with Josh just edging it, and the third and final round was all about Josh’s aggression, pushing his opponent back and connecting with good shots. However, the decision went to the local lad.

The last Chelmsford boxer was Lenny Prudence, boxing four two-minute rounds for the first time. Facing Alan Jones from Tiverton, Lenny boxed sharply throughout the contest.

He had to be at his best to keep Jones at bay. His footwork and speed of punch were too good for the lad from Tiverton.
