Elmtree Excalibur B turned in a five star performance in division two of the Chelmsford & District Table Tennis League and by beating previous leaders Hatfield Peverel A 8-2 they have returned to the top of the table. 

Scott Dowsett (three wins), Gus Heath (two wins) and Lee McHugh (three wins) dominated the action. Gus Heath suffered his first defeat of the season at the hands of Dave Calleja.

Elmtree now lead the way with 50 points and they also have a game in hand on Hatfield Peverel A. Dean Andrews hit top form for Liberal who beat Chelmsford B 6-4. Barry Pritchard defeated Duncan Elloy 5-11, 5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 12-10 in the closest game of the night. Ryan Pitt won twice for the Chelmsford side.

The division three match between Danbury F and ECC D finished as a 5-5 draw.

Richard Storey won his three singles for the County Council team whilst Herbie Smith and Peter Hance both picked up two wins for the Danbury F side.

Elmtree Excalibur C ran out 7-3 winners against Danbury H. Team-work counted here with Rod Maclennan, Paul Sturton and Dave Moles all winning twice to counter the three wins that Dave Marsh picked up.

Dave Marsh defeated Rod Maclennan 11-9, 12-14, 11-4, 11-6 in the last game of the evening to complete his hat-trick.

In division four Hatfield Peverel C ran out 6-4 winners against Danbury K. Dave Carter and Adam Carter were both undefeated.

Ashwin Siam (five wins out of six to date) was on target as OCs H beat Black Notley 3-2 in the CLICK League. He beat both Will Brazier and Ewan Phillipson in four ends.

Buttsbury A made it five wins out of five by beating Buttsbury C (5-0) and OCs H (4-1). Billy Mitchell won his four singles in these two matches. Buttsbury B beat Buttsbury C 3-2. Nathan Fry was a double winner beating James Hughes and James Wright.
