Chelmsford Invitation League LEAGUE CUP 2nd ROUND. Premier side Mayland Village hosted Division 2 side Ongar United, who led 2-0 at half time through Tom Applegate and Adam Davies.

Ongar scored a third goal with Craig Burgess on target. Mayland scored late on but the day belonged to Ongar and they go through to the next round.

PREMIER. Roxwell beat Bridge Street Hearts 3-2. Hearts’ scorers were Michael Pennyfather-Evans and Matt Proctor, while Roxwell’s goals came from Jordan Miller and Kieran Foster’s brace. Crondon beat Ravens 5-0, with goals from Darren Sawyer, Steve Eaton, Phil Wheaton, Jack Humphreys and Tom Davies.

Gallow and Writtle Manor drew 2-2 with goals from Adam Whiting with a brace for Gallow and Andy Gorman and Erin Mitchell for Manor.

Chelmsford & District Sunday Social League Premier Division: For the second week running Meadow FC shared four goals with their opposition.

Brad Passway bagged a brace while Neil Parrish and Sam Fieldson scored for Chelmer Wanderers, who drop a place to fourth.

Barlows Park Rangers kept their unbeaten run going by the odd goal in three against Athletico Chelmer to extend their lead at the top.

Richard Duncombe and Marc Lambert scored for Rangers and Joey Lovejoy replied for Athletico.

Shaun Sims helped Gloucester Eagles back up to third place with an outstanding display against Clay Pigeon.

Luke Perry got back on the goal trail with a hat trick while his brother Ben and Joseph Knowles also found the net for the Eagles.

Clay Pigeon were foiled on several occasions by keeper Tom Giddings but he was unable to do anything about a stunning volley from Phil Goddard from a corner for Pigeon’s consolation.

City Supporters recent good run was halted by Kerfuffle FC by the odd goal in three.

Tom Vale and Hans Lutcmiah scored for Kerfuffle and Ben Harris for City.

Banjax found themselves two down at home to Warley Town and went further behind in the second half. Antony Goodwin reduced the deficit but Warley added a fourth before the end.

Stuart Cawkwell bagged a brace and Will Smith and Sam Sullivan also got on the scoresheet for Warley.
