Chelmsford City v Havant & Waterlooville preview

CHELMSFORD City take on Havant & Waterlooville (7:45pm kick-off at Melbourne Stadium) determined to bounce straight back from their defeat at Eastleigh on Saturday, and Manager Glenn Pennyfather knows it's important his players don't dwell on that result as they look to build a new run.

Just a single goal was all that separated the sides at the Silverlake Stadium at the weekend, but the Clarets' boss is determined to recover quickly.

Victory against a talented Havant side, who are in 18th position but only four points from the top ten, would put City third.

They'll have to do it without suspended top scorer Jamie Slabber and injured goalkeeper Stuart Searle, but Glenn remains upbeat.

With no new injuries to his squad but a couple of fitness tests to arrange, he said: "We were obviously disappointed on Saturday, with all of the teams around us picking up points, but the sides at the top still all have to play each other.

"There are a lot of twists and turns left in this season. All our remaining games are important, and we have the chance night to put things right quickly and get three points."
