CHELMSFORD City have released wide midfielder Ishmael Welsh with the club’s best wishes as manager Glenn Pennyfather prepares his squad for the last few months of the season.
Welsh joined Chelmsford a year ago in February 2012 and has produced some excellent, committed displays in a claret shirt during those 12 months.
Pennyfather was grateful for everything the winger had achieved at Melbourne Stadium.
“Ishmael is a super player and a great man and I’m sure he’ll go on to do elsewhere,” Glenn said. “We’ve brought some players in recently and I can’t, unfortunately, keep hold of everyone.
"Ish has been brilliant for us and I’d like to thank him for all his efforts.”
