Colchester United's play-off hopes were thrown into disarray when their game at Leyton Orient was suspended with six minutes remaining because of a pitch invasion.
The U's were winning 3-1 at Brisbane Road when hundreds of home fans spilled onto the pitch in protest at the ownership of Francesco Becchetti, following their relegation from League Two.
Referee Carl Boyeson was forced to take the players off the field in the 84th minute after the pitch invasion stopped play.
More than 1,250 U's fans had made the trip to Brisbane Road to see the game, with many voicing their support for their Orient counterparts' plight.
A Colchester victory would have put them in with a great chance of making the play-offs, ahead of the final game of the season at home to Yeovil Town, next Saturday.
