THERE are just two weeks to go until fight night!

A lot of the hard work has been done but there’s still a lot to go.

Next week is quite a big week in the training camp and there’ll be a lot of hard work and sparring involved.

On Monday morning, I’ll be going to the Colchester army barracks for some more sparring. It’s always a good test as those army boys are fit and healthy!

On Wednesday, I’m sparring in Romford with Robin Dupre - a cruiserweight unbeaten in 12 fights.

Then on Friday I’ll be at the Peacock Gym in London for sparring.

I’m not sure who with yet. I’m hoping unbeaten light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde will be available but, if not, then it may be with Southern Area super-middleweight champion Alan Higgins instead.

Obviously, I’m still training every day next week, doing all my normal training routines and running and sprinting.

It’s a big week because it’s that last big push for fight night.

The following week will be fight week, which is all a fighter looks forward to during camp.

On fight week, I get to calm it all down and taper it off.

I stop punching on the Wednesday before the fight and that is a nice feeling because it gives your body a couple of days to rest.

It’s a nice feeling when you stop and look back to reflect because you know it’s done and you can feel proud at what you have achieved and the amount of work you’ve put in.

Sometimes you get to the end of camp and wish for one more day, but if you get to the end and think “yep, I’m happy” then you know you’re in a good place.

I can’t actually believe it’s come around so quickly!

Where I’ve had so much time off between fights in the past, this time it was straight back into another fight in quick succession, which is how I want it.

My weight is good. I haven’t had to lose much because I’ve kept myself fit over Christmas and been training full-time, so not feeling drained like I used to before.

Ticket sales are good but I do need to sell a few more, so if you haven’t got one yet then please get in touch.

I don’t earn a lot of money from boxing. I just want to fight and see where my talent can take me, so the more in support of that, the better!
