IT was all the fours for MALDON & TIPTREE as a 4-1 win was a fourth Ryman League division north win in a row that lifted the Jammers into the top four.

Kevin Horlock’s men extended their strong form by easing to victory at Ware.

They took the lead in the 28th minute when Sam Newson opened the scoring and although Ware’s Murat Karagol pulled the hosts level four minutes later, parity didn’t last long.

Adam Mills struck with a 35th minute goal and Newson was on target again just before half-time to put the Jammers 3-1 up at the interval.

The points were wrapped up when Liam Nash put Maldon 4-1 up in the 46th minute and Ware’s day got worse in the dying stages as the sending off of Alaa Oudji saw them end the game with ten men.

There was also a fourth win in a row and a 4-1 victory for BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT in division north.

Their win at Aveley came as they fought back from the early setback of falling behind to George Pullen’s third-minute strike for the hosts.

Brightlingsea were soon back on level terms, though, as Phil Kelly equalised in the seventh minute and it stayed that way for the remainder of the first half.

Parity only lasted for three minutes of the second 45 minutes, though, as Jake Turner soon put Regent ahead and a Sherwin Stanley own goal strengthened their position in the 53rd minute.

And Brightlingsea made sure of the points four minutes later when Kelly fired in his second of the game for a result that sent his team eighth in the table.

WITHAM TOWN are 15th after a 2-2 draw at Haringey Borough, but another late goal saw Adam Flint’s team denied a full three points and it is now six league games without a win for them.

Haringey were reduced to ten men by a 37th minute sending off and Witham twice took the lead through goals by Nathan Koranteng and Lance Akins, but they were pegged back both times, with the second equaliser coming in the 88th minute.

It was a tough afternoon for HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS as they lost 1-0 at VCD Athletic and are in the bottom three in the table.
