EIGHT swimmers from the Colchester Phoenix Amateur Swimming Club travelled to Norfolk to compete in the ASA Norfolk Swimability Meet.

The annual event attracted disability swimmers from all over the Eastern Region, with the Phoenix swimmers competing in 31 individual events, plus two team relays.

In the individual events, the majority of the Phoenix team took first, second and third place positions and all the Phoenix swimmers achieved personal best times.

In the 4x25m team medley, male team captain Samuel Inman led Phoenix to victory to take first place in a time of one minute 36.06 seconds.

The 4x25m freestyle relay saw female captain Amelia Edgar lead her team to first place in a closely-fought time of 1m 20.82s.

At the end of the successful meet, both teams were presented with the relay team trophies in recognition of their achievements.
